The EU and GM foods

Now, is it any wonder that I am so cynical about the EU experiment?
We hardly put this issue to bed or here it is again. Under another bogus pretext.

The European Union has launched a study into whether a large-scale expansion of genetically modified crops would curb soaring global food prices.

How on earth could putting all the food stock patented rights in the hands of one or two massive corporations make things cheaper for the world than saving seeds from the previous harvest??!!

Developing new patents, new plants that can weather extreme conditions etc, that is expensive. Are these corporations going to give away the seeds, then?

The duplicity here is staggering.
And it makes me furious.
And anti-EU in a way nothing on this earth ever could have.

Over these past years, because of these kinds of issues where the interests of parties, corporations are systematically put above those of people and environment, I have become very much opposed to the EU as a system.

The more they pull this kind of thing the more I become immovably set against a federation of European States.
And the more powerless they make me, the more angry I become.
